As 2019 begins, many teams find themselves kicking off projects, onboarding new hires, and making the first sales of the year.  This can be an exciting time, yet time-consuming and frustrating if you do not have the staff to support it.  Colonial Electric, our success spotlight company this month, recently found their ideal candidate to aid their HR team.  Check out their success spotlight below!

Colonial Electric Supply and Emily M.

Colonial Electric Supply, VP of HR, Alan Preston, reached out to The Job Exchange in early November looking for a unique candidate for their HR department. They needed someone with strong analytical skills, great people skills and a willingness to work an entry-level role as a junior project manager. The role was focused on managing company-wide projects and needed someone who was strong and confident enough to interact with all levels of company employees and encourage them to meet their deadlines for the different projects.

After interviewing many recent college graduate candidates, The Job Exchange ultimately presented a candidate right before the holiday season who had relocated to the Norristown area. She had a BA degree in communications from Bloomsburg University and was looking for a challenge. She had worked in communications at the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, a minor league baseball team and held a number administrative jobs during college.

From the first interview, both parties knew they had found what they needed. Emily M. had found a challenging position and Colonial Electric had found that unique combination of strong communication skills along with strong analytical skills.

We are happy to report both parties are pleased with their match.
